How To Make Your Dog Smart

Having a prepared dog is not the same thing as having a show dog, but in case your dog knows a few essential commandments, it can be helpful to address problematic practices - existing or that may arise later.

So, where do you start to prepare your dog's food? You could take a course, but that's a bit much; you can do it without the help of others. To be honest, with the right behaviour, it's usually a good time for you and your dogs!

Headquarters

This is one of the simplest dog training orders you can give, so it's decent to start with.

Hold a treat on your dog's nose.

Move your hand up so that his head can follow the treat and the base is lower.

When he's sitting, say "Sit", give him the treat and offer him love.

Treat this arrangement several times a day until your dog is able to control it. At this time, ask your dog to sit before dinner when he goes out for a walk and in other circumstances where you want him to be calm and in a quiet position.

Come

This instruction can help keep a dog safe and bring it back to you in case you lose your grip on the rope or inadvertently leave the main entrance open.

Put a chain and collar on your dog.

Get down to his level and say "Come" while gently pulling on the chain.

As he comes towards you, reward him with love and a little treat.

When he has mastered it with the rope, eliminate him - and practice order in a protected, enclosed area.

Down

This can be one of the most annoying commands when preparing for the dog's task. And why? Because the position is docile. You can help by continuing to prepare in a positive and relaxed manner, especially if you have anxious or raised dogs.

Discover a particularly fragrant treat and hold it in your hand closed and tight.

Put your hand on your dog's nose. As he sniffs it, move your hand to the floor to follow him.

At this point, slide your hand on the floor in front of him so that his body follows his head.

When he is in an inferior position, say "inferior", give him the reward and offer him affection.

Treat him consistently. If your dog tries to sit or jump to your hand, say "no" and remove your hand. Try not to force him into a low position and encourage your dog's progress to get into the correct position. Overall, he's trying to solve the problem!

Stay

Make sure your dog is a specialist in the order of the "seats" before making an effort.

Ask your dog to "sit" first.

At this point, open the palm of your hand in front of you and say "Stay".

Take a step back. Reward him with a gift and friendship in the unlikely event he stays.

Gradually increase the number of steps before giving the treat.

Reward your puppy for waiting again and again - whether it's just for a few moments or not.

This is a balanced activity for your dog, so don't be discouraged if the process can't be dominated in a hurry, especially with small dogs and very energetic dogs. Overall, they need to move forward, not just take a break.

Let it happen

This can help protect your dog if his interest in him improves, for example if he senses something charming, though potentially risky, on the ground! The goal is to show your little guy that he's getting better because he's neglecting the other thing.

Discover a two-handed delight.

  • Show him an onion wrapped with the treat and say, "Leave it there.
  • Let him lick, sniff, mouth, paw and bark to try to get it - and ignore the practice.
  • When he stops being picky, give him the treat with the other hand.
  • Do a refresher course until your dog moves with the first hand you hold and says, "Let him go.

Then you can give the treat to your dog as he moves away from the first hand that catches him and keeps looking at you.

If your dog moves reliably away from the first hand that catches him and continues to look at you, you can give him the treat.
